06.06.2016 – Montenegro

Hallo zusammen,

ich bin nun in Montenegro eingereist und habe an der Grenze von Kroatien zu Montenegro, per Zufall, eine Gruppe slowenischer Radfahrer getroffen. Diese wollten bis Budva, einer Stadt an der Küste von Montenegro, fahren. Diese Stadt ist bekannt als ein Urlaubsort für, vor allem recht wohlhabende, Russen. Da ich auch in dieselbe Richtung muss, fuhren wir gemeinsam los.

Hello, everyone

I have now entered to Montenegro and I have met by chance a group of Slovenians cyclist at the border between Croatia and Montenegro. They were rolling to Budva, a city on the Montenegro coast. This city is known as a resort for particularly wealthy Russians. As I was rolling in the same direction we biked together to the same destiny.

Entgegengesetzt meiner sonstigen Gewohnheiten, hielten wir hin und wieder an und tranken etwas in den örtlichen Bars.Gegen Abend erreichten wir dann Budva. Dort holten wir uns etwas zum Essen, gingen schwimmen und tranken zum Abschluss des Tages, noch ein paar Bier in einem Restaurant.

On the opposite of my habits we stopped sometimes to drink something in a local bar. Around the evening we were in Budva. There we went find something to eat, and we ended up swimming and drinking biers in a restaurant at the end of the day.

Nachdem wir dort gefragt haben, wo wir eine Schlafmöglichkeit finden können, bot man uns eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit auf der Dachterrasse an. Da sogar ein Nachtwächter auf das Restaurant aufpasste, konnten wir jederzeit an die Fahrräder, unser Gepäck und auf die Toilette, ohne dass etwas abgeschlossen werden musste. Perfekt! Ein ziemlich ungewöhnlicher Schlafplatz, aber genial.

Then we asked where could we find a place for the night they offered us to stay on the roof terrace. There even a night guardian keeping an eye on the restaurant, so we could leave at any time our luggage on our bikes and go to the toilets without it being locked . Perfect ! Quite an unusual place to sleep but awesome.

Am nächsten Morgen frühstückten wir noch zusammen am Strand und verabschiedeten uns, da die Slowenen wieder nach Kroatien (Split) zurückfuhren. Ich sage vielen Dank, für die lustige Zeit und das Bier!

The next day we had breakfast still together on the beach and then we parted there because the Slovenians drove back to Croatia (Split). I thank them a lot for the fun times and for the beer.
