Weiter ging es südwärts. Gegen Mittag wurde ich durch Rufen gebeten einmal kurz anzuhalten. Ich stoppte meine Fahrt und wurde von einem Mann namens Chai zu einem Kokosnussdrink eingeladen.

I set course southwards. At about midday someone called me and asked me to stop. I did so and a man named Chai invited me to some coconut drink.

Anschließend lud er mich zu einer Sightseeingfahrt per Motorrad in die Umgebung ein. Ich sagte spontan zu und wir fuhren zum Strand und auf einen Fischmarkt.

He then invited me to do some sightseeing with him on his motorbike. I agreed at once and we set off to the beach and to a fish market.

Nach diesem schönen und interessanten Ausflug bot er mir an, dass ich bei ihm übernachten könne. Wir kauften auf einem Wochenmarkt ein und kochten ein Abendessen.

After this lovely and very intriguing trip he offered me shelter for the night. We went to a weekly market where we bought some food. Then we cooked dinner together.

Nach dem Essen fuhren wir dann noch zu einer thailändischen Disco. Hier saß man aber nur am Tisch und konnte etwas trinken, während man das Bühnenprogramm von mehreren Musikern beobachten konnte.

After dinner, we went to a Thai Disco. There you had to sit still at a table and have your drink while you were watching the stage events of several musicians playing.

I decided to stay with Mr Chai for two nights as he also wanted to show me a beautiful waterfall.

Ich entschloss mich 2 Nächte bei Mr. Chai zu bleiben, da er mir gerne noch einen sehr schönen Wasserfall zeigen wollte.

Am nächsten Morgen fuhren wir dorthin. Wir waren lange mit dem Roller unterwegs, da es sehr weit zu fahren war. Mr. Chai gab mich als ausländischen Gastarbeiter aus und so kam ich zum Einheimischen-Preis zum Wasserfall. Der Wasserfall war super schön im Dschungel gelegen. Man konnte dort schwimmen…

We went there the following morning. It took us quite some time to get there on his motorbike, as it was a long way off. Mr Chai pretended I was a foreign worker, so I was allowed in at the price for the locals. The waterfall was wonderfully situated in the jungle. You could even swim there…

… und es gab so viele Fische im Wasser, wie ich noch nie zuvor gesehen hatte.

… and there were much more fish in the water than I had ever seen before.

At last we went to a cave where we found a lot of bats as well as Buddhist statues to be admired.

Zum Schluss fuhren wir noch zu einer Höhle in der es neben vielen Fledermäusen, auch buddhistische Figuren zum Bestaunen gab.
