17.12.2017 – Australien/Darwin – Indonesien/Bali

Nach 2 Wochen Wartezeit in Darwin war ich mir nun ziemlich sicher, dass mein Flug nach Bali stattfinden wird, denn der Agung-Vulkan hatte in dieser Zeit keinen weiteren Ausbruch gehabt.

After waiting in Darwin for 2 weeks, I was quite sure that my flight to Bali was going to take place. The Agung volcano hadn’t erupted again in the meantime.

So räumte ich mein Zimmer und packte meine Sachen. Brett hat mir netterweise seinen Koffer geliehen und sich bereit erklärt mein Fahrrad und die Dinge die ich nicht mitnehmen möchte, für mich aufzubewahren. Zu guter letzt fuhren wir noch gemeinsam in ein Restaurant essen, bevor ich von Brett und Smile zum Flughafen gebracht wurde. Auf Wiedersehen ! In circa einem Monat komme ich zurück.

So, I cleared my room and packed my stuff. Brett lent me his suitcase which was nice of him and he was also prepared to keep and look after my bike and all the things which I couldn’t take with me.In the end we had lunch at a restaurant together before he and Smile took me to the airport. Bye, bye! I’ll be back in a month’s time.

After checking my hand luggage twice very thoroughly and asking me briefly about my stay in Iran, they let me go without causing any problems.

Nachdem mein Handgepäck 2 Mal gründlich kontrolliert worden war und ich bei der Passkontrolle kurz über meinen Aufenthalt in Iran gefragt wurde, verlief die Ausreise problemlos.

Kurz nach Mitternacht landete mein Flugzeug auf Bali. Nach einer kurzen Preisverhandlung brachte mich ein Taxi zum gebuchten Hotel nach Kuta.

My plane landed on Bali just after midnight. After some brief price negotiation, the taxi driver took me to my hotel at Kuta which I had booked in advance.

There are few tourists here in Kuta at present but the eruption of the volcano doesn’t really show. After two relaxing days and having taken a beginner’s lesson of surfing, I had to go to the airport once again. My stay here had come to an end.

Es sind zur Zeit zwar weniger Touristen in Kuta, aber ansonsten hat hier der Ausbruch des Vulkans Agung  keine sichtbaren Auswirkungen. Nach 2 entspannten Tagen, in denen ich eine Anfängerstunde zum Surfenlernen nahm, war mein Aufenthalt schon vorbei und ich fuhr wieder zum Flughafen.
