In Goa angekommen erhielt ich wieder eine Art Kulturschock, diesmal in die andere Richtung. So viele Touristenhotels, Supermärkte und nicht zuletzt teure Hotels und Bars, das kenne ich gar nicht mehr.

Another culture shock on my arrival in Goa, but this time in a different direction. I wasn’t prepared for so many tourist hotels, supermarkets and not at least so many expensive hotels and bars – I wasn’t used to that any more.

Da es hier keine Steuern auf Alkohol gibt, sind in Goa viele Touristen. Es gibt einen regelrechten Partytourismus. Außerdem ist Marihuana recht leicht und günstig zu erhalten. Manche Touristen bleiben hier auch hängen, das sieht man an einigen verlebten Gestalten, die es hier auch gibt.

There is no tax on alcohol, so there are lots of tourists in Goa. You can call it a veritable party tourism. Apart from that you get marijuana easily and cheaply. Some of the tourists stay here forever, you can frequently see worn-out people hanging around.

I stayed in Goa for three nights and enjoyed the expensive western life very much, indeed. My hotel Lasz Lama had a familiar atmosphere and I met a lot of new friends there.

Ich bleibe 3 Nächte hier und genieße das teure und westliche Leben. In meinem Hostel Lasz Lama herrscht eine familiäre Stimmung und ich lerne viele neue Freunde kennen.
