Malaysia – 27.04.2017

Am nächsten Morgen fuhr ich zu dem besagten Heißwasserpool. Das Wasser war wirklich sehr warm und der Boden war durch das aufsteigenden heiße Quellwasser sogar sehr heiß. Nach diesem entspannten Start in den Tag fuhr ich die wirklich kaum befahrene Nebenstraße entlang.

The next morning I went to visit the hot water pool. The water was very warm indeed and the ground was even really hot due to the rising hot water from the spring. Having had a relaxing start that day, I traveled along the little frequented side road.

Meist hörte ich zwar noch die Autobahn, aber ansonsten war ich mitten im Dschungel. Ich sah sogar etliche Affen und fuhr zu der letzten Passhöhe hoch, bevor es bergab nach Kuala Lumpur ging.

At times I heard the noises from the motor way but I was right in the middle of the jungle. I even spotted quite a few monkeys. Before the road descended towards Kuala Lumpur, I went up the last mountain pass.

Shortly before I got there, it started raining again. For that reason I stopped at a small restaurant and had a late breakfast there.

Kurz bevor ich die Passhöhe erreichte begann es wieder zu regnen. Deswegen legte ich in einem kleinen Restaurant eine späte Frühstückspause ein.

Danach fuhr ich bei Dauerregen nach Kuala Lumpur.

It didn’t stop raining while I went towards Kuala Lumpur.

Bis kurz vor der Stadt war ich noch umgeben vom Dschungel, dann stand ich plötzlich im Zentrum einer hochmodernen Stadt.

I was in the jungle until shortly before the town, then, suddenly, I was in the center of an ultra modern city.

Zuvor hatte ich mir im Internet ein gut bewertetes Hostel ausgesucht. Doch dieses zu finden stellte sich als schwierig heraus. Mehrfach verfuhr ich mich, da ich mein Handy und damit auch die Navigation, bei diesem extremen Regen nicht benutzen konnte. Irgendwann fand ich das Hostel aber dennoch.

Via the Internet I had chosen a hostel which was assessed as „very good“. But I had trouble finding it. I wasn’t able to use my cell phone and the navigation system in this extreme rain, so I lost my way more than once. Eventually, I did find the hostel after all.
