24.7.2016 – Türkei

Bei meiner Übernachtung im Park von Amasra war das einzige Problem, dass am Abend unweit meines Zeltplatzes eine Hochzeit stattfand. Da bei dieser Lautstärke eh nicht an Schlaf zu denken war, folgte ich der ohrenbetäubenden Musik und erreichte den Hochzeitplatz, hier wurde viel getanzt und gefeiert.

The only problem in the park at Amasra was a wedding celebration taking place near my camp. I found it absolutely impossible to get any sleep at all, so I followed the music which was really deafening and soon, I reached the place of the wedding feast.

Nachdem ich schließlich trotz des Lärms versucht habe zu schlafen, kam noch eine sogenannte Demokratiedemonstration vorbei. Diese Demonstration richtet sich gegen den Putschversuch. Die Demonstranten riefen u.a. „Gott ist groß“ und schwenkten unzählige türkische Flaggen. Dies alles hatte zur Folge, dass ich nicht besonders lange und gut schlief. Am nächsten Morgen war ich dementsprechend ziemlich müde.

Much later, when I was trying to find some sleep again, a demonstration for democracy marched past my tent. Their protests were directed against the coup attempt. They exclaimed „God is great“ and kept waving their Turkish flags. This is why I didn’t really sleep too well and not very long, either. As a result, I was rather tired the next morning.
