Die zweite Woche verbrachten wir in Ünye, einer leider nicht ganz so gut erhaltenen historischen Stadt, die aber dafür direkt am Meer liegt.

We stayed in Ünye during the second week of our vacation. This is an old historical town, unfortunately not in very good condition.

Wir besuchten das einzige Museum der Stadt, ein altes osmanisches Haus. In einer kostenlosen und sehr informativen Führung, wurden uns die früheren Lebensweisen sehr anschaulich erklärt.

We went to the only museum of the town, located in an old Ottoman building. We were shown around free of charge and very informatively, learning a lot about the ways of life in the early days.

Während der Führung reichte man uns sogar einen traditionellen türkischen Kaffee. Zum Schluss schenkte man uns noch ein Kaffeeset der Stadt Ünye, das normalerweise nur an Hochzeitspaare verschenkt wird. Noch am selben Tag entdeckten wir einige Fotos von unserer Besichtigung auf der Facebookseite des Museums.

During our guided tour we were even presented with a traditional Turkish coffee. At the end our guide presented us with a coffee set of the town of Ünye which is normally only given to newly weds.The same day we found our photos on the Museum’s Facebook page.
